Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming huge in the national theater space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. She released her album It's Too Late for Tina the following year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim as well as Louise won her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. While students of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next memorable role came from 1964, when she signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully juggle between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character opposed her perceived image as an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series as well as Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition as a producer on a variety of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Born on 28 August 1965 in Essex. At the age of 3, her family moved her to Toronto in Canada where she spent throughout her early years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down in Toronto ever since.
