Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for the A-levels she took. When discussing her character from Emmerdale she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. While at school Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she was a part of the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The play also got favorable reviews. She was awarded with an award for her exceptional performance. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two awards. At the British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and during the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of the Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman got the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the show. Moffat chose her for the role as she performed the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been in the industry for over 30 years, and has been involved in numerous TV and film projects. The most popular of her work is her television work rather than films. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneurial. Eva is married three times who has a daughter from her second husband.
