Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative rock, folk rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is considered as a feminist icon and Grammy award winner. Being one of the first female artists in the 90s, she founded her own record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was her parents Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who met while attending in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian roots and her mother was Montreal-born. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors.
